What is DTG printing?
Direct-to-garment, or DTG, is a printing method that sprays ink onto the garment. The ink then soaks into the fibers of the garment. It’s like printing on paper, but on clothing.
What is Sublimation printing?
Sublimation printing is heat transferred ink dyed into the shirt but only works on 100% light colored polyester apparel.
What is Digital printing?
Digital printing is a full color print method that can be printed on almost any substrate and color.
Screen Printing Vs. Vinyl Cut and Press?
- Vinyl is suited for very small runs (which we would consider anything from 1 to 11 shirts) Vinyl printing uses a machine to cut out letters and designs from colored vinyl and heat pressed onto the t-shirt to transfer the color to it.
- Screen printing is best for larger quantities of 25 or more. It requires the use of ink and screens and each color and design requires a screen.
Which print method has the longest lifespan?
All our print methods should last the lifetime of the shirt if proper wash instructions are followed. (Usually inside out in cold water and dried with low heat)
What is a vector file?
Vector art is created using vector illustration software programs, such as Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw. These programs use mathematical equations and geometric primitives (points, lines, and shapes) to create art that is clean, print ready, and can be scaled infinitely, without any loss of quality or fidelity.
What is digitizing?
Digitizing is the process of converting existing artwork like a company logo or team emblem into a stitch file that an embroidery machine can sew on a garment. Before any design can be embroidered, it must be digitized.
